Divorce can be tough. We strive to make the process as stress free as possible. Whether your case is contested or uncontested, we will explain each step of the divorce process to ease any concerns that you may have.

We believe that child support is a privilege and not punishment as there are many people who would love to be parents but are unable to conceive. No matter what your stance we can help you navigate the child support process in both a suit filed by the Texas Office of the Attorney General or a private suit filed by the custodial parent.

Once an Order is put in place in a Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship (SAPCR), sometimes one of the parents finds themselves on the end of an Enforcement action based upon the  failure to follow the Order. This failure can be both intentional or unintentional. We can help you bring an enforcement suit or defend you if one is brought against you.

Time spent with your child is the most important aspect of the parent-child relationship. Sometimes it is necessary to have an order that is workable and takes into consideration the needs of the child and the abilities of the parents.  Our goal is to help parties maintain the focus on the person who matters most, the child.

Adoption is one of the most rewarding parts of Family Law, however the process can be tedious and confusing. We will help guide you through each stage of the adoption process so that you can move on to loving and making memories.

One of the areas we are most passionate about are fathers rights.  It is widely believed that fathers don't have as many rights as mothers, and many fathers unnecessarily shy away from using the Courts to establish their rights to their children. Because we know that the Family Code does not allow a preference based on gender, we gladly represent father's in paternity suits.

At The Clark-Jones Law Firm we understand that legal matters can be frustrating and filled with uncertainty due to the complexity of the legal system, the laws and the issues inherent in every case. Our commitment to you is to offer quality, competent and professional legal representation in line with our mission of compassion. We strive to make the process as smooth as possible.

Attorney and Counselor at Law

Attorney Clark-Jones is a Mississippi native who made Houston home in 2000. Before moving to Texas, she attended Mississippi University for Women and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Paralegal Studies. She also excelled as an intern for District Attorney Forrest Allgood at the Lowndes County District  Attorney's Office.

After graduation she moved to Houston, Texas to attend Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She was an active law student and leader. She participated and led several extracurricular activities, including the James M. Douglas Board of Advocates (Moot Court), the Black Law Students Association (Vice President), and Phi Alpha Delta Legal fraternity (Vice Justice and Head Marshall).

Attorney Clark-Jones began her legal career in several corporate legal departments working with oil and gas and government contracts. She has also worked for several local firms specializing in family law, estate practice, criminal law, personal injury law,  and immigration law.  Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to open The Clark-Jones Law Firm in 2017. Since opening her practice, she gained immense experience in divorce cases, including same sex marriage cases, and Suits Affecting the Parent Child Relationship (child support and custody, modification of child support and custody, paternity suits and enforcement actions) which led her to tailor her practice to strictly family law.

Attorney Clark-Jones' personal motto is, "Never dream of success, work for it". She is happily married to Michael Sr. and proud mother to daughter Mikaela and son Michael Jr.
